Today, December 11, I received the results of this year’s Spider Awards. This particular contest is one that draws a lot of excellent work from all over the world and consequently the competition is a rather difficult one in which to place.

Of my entries I received three nominations and one honorable mention over three different categories. I have displayed them below.

The awards show will be up until December 21st here and then will likely join the history of galleries here.

The Honorable Mention was in the “Fine Art” category and was from a shoot I did last year at Kensey’s request when she wanted to “rise from the ashes.” This was another shot we made after achieving the main image she’d been after and I’m pleased to have it in award rotation.

Soul Mate was a nominee in “Fine Art” as well.

This image of Svala from Iceland of 2024 which I dubbed “Solitude” was nominated in the “Nude” category.

This image of “The Imp at Sunset” was nominated in “Children of the World.” I actually prefer the color version, but the Spider Awards are black and white.
