Philosophy & Projects

PHILOSOPHY

The relationship comes first. If I photograph you it is my hope that it is the beginning of a long-term partnership, regardless of what we are creating. I will always give my creative partners the chance to strike any images from a set and I will not post anything that my creative partners don’t want me to use.

TRUST is more important than any photo.

Our RELATIONSHIP is more important than any photo.

PROJECTS

I am always seeking people who want to be involved in my projects.
If you’re interested in working with me please email me at mrpvisionaries@gmail.com
I will work with anyone of any age, color, and sex/gender, though minors MUST have a parent/guardian present at all times.

Dreamtime (underwater)
Happy to accept adults, but I prefer children/teens for this project, ideally people who love swimming and feel at home in the water.

Families
I’m following several families with children in which I photograph the families once or twice a year each year. This creates a record of the changes and growth over time. It also permits for better images as time goes on as we all build a rapport and it becomes an annual tradition. Please email me if you’d like to be part of this project.

Portraits
The bulk of my work is making real life portraits of people. I don’t correct “imperfections” other than those that are temporary (zits, hairs, etc) because the idea is to capture the person as s/he is in that moment and to see the beauty because of the “flaws.”

Nude
I’ve worked in the medical field for over 15 years and at the workshop I photographed nudes, so I’m familiar with the human body. It’s beautiful, but many of us don’t think that about ourselves. This work is aimed mainly for people who have body image issues and/or who just want to experience the freedom that comes from baring all to the air in a safe environment. I recommend doing a portrait session with me first to see if we have good rapport and energy and we can talk about your reasons for wanting to do a session.

As I explained in the philosophy section above, I will not post any work from any session without your consent. This is for YOU to explore yourself and your creative side without fear of anyone else ever seeing it.
